Dr Subhita PrasannanBreast and Endocrine Surgeon
Subhita's special interests are in the treatment of breast cancer. She also has specific expertise in endocrine surgery of the thyroid. Having graduated from the School of Medicine in Calicut, India in 1995 and qualified in general surgery in Malaysia in 2000 through the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She was awarded a two year Breast and Endocrine Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2010, which she completed at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She is a Breast and Endocrine Consultant and head of the unit in the Lyell McEwin Hospital Surgical Oncology Unit where she is actively involved with teaching medical students and surgical trainees, as well as performing breast and endocrine surgery. Subhita is also a visiting specialist with Breast Screen South Australia.

The Breast & Endocrine Centre continues to focus on your safety.
Anyone with COVID cannot enter the centre for 7 days and must be asymptomatic when they do return
If you are unwell you should stay away until you are well. It is our duty of care to look after our staff and those patients who are undergoing chemotherapy or are immune compromised.
For surgery at any Adelaide private hospital, you may be required to undertake a RAT prior admission at the hospital concerned, please check in with your hospital.
In addition:
- Surgical masks are not currently mandatory but are recommended. They can be provided at reception is you would like to wear one.
- It is preferred that you do not bring children (under the age of 12 years old) to come to the centre.
- Social distancing must be maintained.
