Dr Philip Britten-Jones is a South Australian specialist Breast, Endocrine and General Surgeon.
He is a graduate of the University of Adelaide Medical School and completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery.
Philip undertook 3 years of post-fellowship training in Breast and Endocrine Surgery across The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. During this time, he gained important knowledge in the holistic care of cancer patients whilst developing specialist surgical techniques including Oncoplastic breast, difficult thyroidal and laparoscopic adrenal procedures.
Dr Britten-Jones holds a staff specialist appointment as a Breast and Endocrine Surgeon and the Chief Surgical Resident at Flinders Medical Centre, where he is actively involved in supervising surgical trainees.
Dr Britten-Jones is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a member of BSANZ, Endocrine Surgeons Australia and NZ and the Australian Society of Breast Diseases.
During his training he was appointed as the RACSTA SA/NT Representative 2018-2020 and has continued as the Younger Fellow’s SA/NT Representative, for which he still serves.
